NYC Here we come

Two more days before we are all in NYC.


The weather forcast:

Friday - Sunny - High of 66 and low 54

Saturday - Mostly Sunny - High of 72 low of 57

Sunday - Mostly Sunny - High of 76 low of 59.

Monday - Partly Cloudy - High 69 low 57


We couldn't ask for better weather -- great for walking and shopping. We will need jackets.

Suggestions for open time slots? I do know there will be clubs in the evening on Friday and Saturday. (Girls choices) and I assume there will be times we will check out Times Square. Anyone up for the catherial? I would like to stop by and say a prayer or two.

Clothes etc.

It's time for us to begin the discussion on the proper clothing we will need for the trip. I went on Weathter.com and the 10 day forcast only takes us to Thursday, Friday and Saturday. As of today the weather for Thursday is high 73 low 58 mostly sunny, Friday high 76 low 59 partly cloudy and Saturday high 74 low 60 partly cloudy. It will probably depend on were Ike travels to once he hits land this weekend. What will we need to bring for each adventure? Any ideas? I know I'm bringing a few pairs of black pants for the evenings along with a fancier top. But not sure if I will need anything other than jeans etc. for the days. Any thoughts from the group?

I think everything is taken care of ....and we are ready to fly....   Patti are you still having trouble posting?  I sent a bunch of invites.  I know Karen is having trouble.

The Legally Blonde tickets are all purchased.  Karen got the other six.

I've purchased 5 tickets for Legally Blonde on Saturday night at 8:00.  We just need to get 6 more.  We also need to figure out getting the Sex and the City Tickets for Friday.

Hotel confirmations

Hi everyone, I wanted to let you all know that I will have the confirmation numbers for the hotel next week, I will post them when I get them, the reservations all sound good, we do need to get the legally blonde tickets asap, so we need to decide who should order them since we can only purchase 8 at a time. Debby, are you on the same flight friday as Samantha and I? We are on jetblue ft,laud to jfk we leave at 7:00 in the morning. Well ladies thats all for now. Getting closer can't wait.

Reservations

I made a 9:30 (online) reservation at mangia ebevi on Friday night at 9:30 for 11 people.  I also put in a request for a reservation at the Boathouse for 10:30 on Sunday for 9.  Comments or questions?????

I would also do the Legally Blonde reservations if I knew the total count. 

Feel like I'm talking to myself...and I'm becoming a good listener :)

Hotel

Hi Ladies.

Well we have our hotel arrangements, we are staying at the Hilton towers hotel, it is located across from radio city hall, Patti ad I stayed here before it is really nice and a great location, I will be posting room confirmations once I receive them, sometime next week. So now we need to purchase our show tickets and make dinner reservations!!!! We are one step closer to our trip.

More the merrier!

Great news. Debby and Andrea Massey will be joining us in NYC. They are very good friends of ours that also live in Florida (Coral Springs). I sent them the itenary for Karen, Sue and gang as they will also travel Friday evening into NYC and out again Sunday evening. We will now have three rooms which will give us all much more room. i have a friend that went to NYC last weekend. she said Pinkberry was amazing! so we def need to do that. andddd she went to Lombardi's Pizza which is the VERY first pizza place, she said we HAVE to do that. its in little italy. & she saw Legally Blonde and said it was SOOOO much fun!
alsoooo. Im sure we've all seen the movie 27 Dresses, remember the part where the sister wants to get married at the "boathouse". well its actually a restaurant right on the water in central park. they have brunch, lunch and dinner. She went for lunch but said that a lot of people told her Brunch was really good there. so that could be an option! look it up and post what you think! cant wait guys!

Stardust Diner is fun with the singing waiters and waitresses.
Legally Blonde, Mama Mia (or have some of you seen it?), or Kyle recommends Spring Awakening.
And OMG - we have to go to Chinatown to search for Louies!! in back alleys, store rooms, behind the stores - who knows where we will go for a good bargain!
What about Sex & the City tour? or Greenwich Village tour? Sunday brunch at Tavern on the Green? ...so much to do!

So Jill & I are on the phone together and decided we'd post a blog about some stuff we found! so we both decided that the first night we get there should be the big birthday extavaganza. ha. and we really want the night to start off with something GREAT! so we searched on google for girls weekend ideas & on about four different sites we found an idea we both loved. Champagne at THE PLAZA before dinner in our birthday dresses!!! it sounds like the perfect start to our vacation! we also found a restaurant that looks like fun. reviews say its great food and really cool atmosphere. heres the website.

Samantha finally showed me how to work this thing! I cant wait for the trip. I have a friend checking on the Hilton Towers hotel for us. It is across from Rockafella center & radio city music hall. We have stayed here before and it was really nice! I should know by the middle of next week some prices. serendipity is great! very small but really cute inside & the sundaes are too die for. The sex and the city tour sounds like so much fun. looking forward to the cosmos! we need to decide on what musical we want to see! i know the girls have been talking about Legally Blonde which sounds like a fun one to me. cant wait ladies!

Wow! I finally made it on this thing. Now if only my mom could join. We could be waiting awhile...but I have to say that I'm SOOOO excited to be going to NYC for Jill's 21st! We are going to have SOOO much fun!

I am having so much fun with this blog thing. Karen, , Sharon, Danielle , Lauren and Erica where are you? We need to get you all blogging with us.

I do think we should check out Justin Timberlake's restaurant. Maybe not eat there but at least stop in and maybe Jillian might just see her Justin.

I think all the girls should wear tieras.

We need a list of all the shows playing while were there so we can pick which one we want to see.

i picked a theme!

hello !!! only 78 more days till the big vacation ! i definitely think the theme should be sex and city ! I also really want to go to the cupcake place, Im not sure the name of it, I think Sue was looking it up too! I dont think there will be much sight-seeing since Samantha falls asleep on all of them !! Also I would like to try pinkberry !! I was looking at websites for places ive heard before, and this is one http://butterrestaurant.com/...is called Butter. Drinks look good, so do desserts. I think we should go to Serendipity also. Cant wait girls !

The Sex and the City theme is great with me...cosmos all over the city or in pursuit of the best cosmo!  But it's Jillian's big weekend so what do you want to go with for our theme, Jillian.  I do think you need to wear a tiara!
